I’m Laya Nathan, a rock musician, researcher, and mental health advocate who believes in the power of music to connect, heal, and inspire. From founding student-led concerts that unite communities to exploring how melodies spark memory in dementia care, I’ve spent the 4 years turning passion into purpose.

Whether I’m performing on stage, conducting research, or leading an initiative, I aim to blend creativity, empathy, and leadership to use my voice, both literally and figuratively to inspire change and build community through music.

Below are the parts of my journey, each representing a piece of how I blend performance, science, and social impact. Click any image to explore the stories behind my work.
