My Role

After witnessing my leadership and success in organizing the Battle of the Bands – Music for Mental Wellness event, Band Together NC’s Operations Director personally recruited me for a custom Business and Marketing internship and invited me to join their leadership team — an experience I like to call “Battle of the Bands ×100.”

As part of the team, I support marketing and community engagement for the Mighty Giveback Concert, a large-scale benefit event that raises over $1 million annually for mental health and equity-focused nonprofits. My role spans volunteer engagement, social media strategy, and content creation for posts, newsletters, and the website. I also assist with event logistics and meeting coordination, and I participate in monthly steering committee sessions, collaborating with cross-departmental leaders to help bring this powerful community concert to life
